BUTCHART GARDENS, VANCOUVER ISLAND
A visit to the world-famous Butchart Gardens is an included highlight of all tours that stop overnight in Victoria. The vast 55 acres of wonderful floral displays will both delight and inspire you. All year round the unique gardens feature stunning colours, designs and spectacular views. The Butchart Gardens are the masterpiece of Jennie Butchart who began creating the gardens in 1906, when the Butchart’s made Todd Inlet their permanent residence. Jennie developed the Sunken Gardens from 1912-1921 and over the following years, she continued to create several distinct gardens, such as the Italian Garden, inspired by her travels around the world.
ICE EXPLORER GLACIER RIDE
Embark on an experience of a lifetime as you board a specially-designed Ice Explorer vehicle and travel right onto
the Athabasca Glacier. Your driver will explain how glaciers are formed and point out interesting geological features as you travel in safety and comfort. At the mid-point, you have the chance to step on to the ice, giving you a glimpse of the natural forces that continue to shape the Rockies.
BANFF GONDOLA RIDE
A memorable ride on the Banff Gondola is included on all tours that visit Banff. This experience starts at the edge of the town of Banff and heads along the shoulder of Sulphur Mountain. Take the gondola up to the top of the mountain, where you can step off and walk around. The 360 degree views from the upper gondola terminal and view-decks are some of the most awe-inspiring in the Northern Hemisphere.
NIAGARA FALLS CRUISE
An included sightseeing highlight on Affordable Value Eastern Canada tours is a day trip from Toronto to Niagara Falls, on the border of Canada and the United States. The journey itself is spectacular as you travel the shore of Lake Ontario, one of the five Great Lakes. On arrival, join the famous Maid of the Mist cruise to the base of the American Falls, then continue to the basin of the magnificent Canadian Horseshoe Falls.
DENALI NATIONAL PARK TOUR
On our Alaskan land tour you have the opportunity to see for yourself the beauty of Denali National Park. Explore this magical region on a 6-7 hour guided Tundra Wilderness Tour. Travel deep within the park for mountain views including Mt McKinley, which is the highest peak in North America.
