Day 1. Arrive Vancouver. On arrival be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of today at leisure in Vancouver, one of the world’s most beautiful cities. This evening join your Tour Director and fellow travellers for an informal Welcome Reception. Two Night Stay: Vancouver, Blue Horizon Hotel.
Day 2. Vancouver Sightseeing. This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vancouver including the Waterfront, Gastown and Stanley Park. The rest of the day is free. Includes: Breakfast

ROCKY MOUNTAINEER RAIL JOURNEY

Day 3. Rocky Mountaineer, Kamloops. Early today board the Rocky Mountaineer train. Relax in the comfort of your RedLeaf coach or Pass through the fields of the Fraser Valley before entering the Fraser Canyon. See the thundering waters of Hell’s Gate and follow the Thompson River to historic Kamloops. Tonight you have the option of a dinner show (own expense). Stay: Kamloops, hotel assigned by Rocky Mountaineer Vacations.

Day 4. Rocky Mountaineer, Banff. Rejoining the Rocky Mountaineer, journey alongside the South Thompson River to Shuswap Lake. Enter Rogers Pass, with its tunnels, snowsheds and glaciers. The Kicking Horse River leads you to Kicking Horse Pass, the Spiral Tunnels and over the Continental Divide to Banff National Park. Arrive in the late afternoon in Banff. Two Night Stay: Banff Park Lodge.

Day 5. Banff Sightseeing. Today ride the Banff Gondola up the shoulder of Sulphur Mountain to enjoy an incredible view of the Canadian Rockies. The rest of the day is at leisure. Perhaps visit the historical The Fairmont Banff Springs, a landmark of the Rockies, or take a wilderness experience tour to discover the local fauna (own expense). Includes: Breakfast & Dinner
Day 6. Lake Louise, Columbia Icefield, Jasper National Park. This morning stop at Lake Louise, the Jewel of the Rockies. Then continue your journey along the spectacular Icefields Parkway, known for its wildlife and scenic viewing. Stop at the Columbia Icefield for a ride onto Athabasca Glacier in an Ice Explorer. Travel past Sunwapta Pass and marvel at the vivid colours of Peyto Lake. Later today you arrive at Jasper. Stay: Jasper, Tonquin Inn.

Day 7. Mt Robson, Sun Peaks. Re-entering the province of British Columbia, follow the famous Yellowhead Highway. En route, pass Mt Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies. In the afternoon arrive in Sun Peaks. The area is known for its virgin forests, meadows, mountain lakes and crystal-clear streams. Stay: Sun Peaks, Hearthstone Lodge.

Day 8. Whistler. Travel through the rugged Cariboo region. Enter the Coast Mountain Range for your stay in the ski resort village of Whistler. This evening head to one of the many restaurants or bars in Whistler, a village buzzing with excitement for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Stay: Whistler, Crystal Lodge.

Day 9. Georgia Strait, Victoria. Cruise Georgia Strait to Vancouver Island and continue to Victoria, the charming capital of British Columbia. Tonight, enjoy a free evening. Two Night Stay: Victoria, Royal Scot Suite Hotel.

Day 10. Victoria Sightseeing. This morning visit the famous Butchart Gardens to explore the floral displays. The rest of the day is at leisure on Vancouver Island. Day 23. Tundra Wilderness Tour. Travel into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour in search of bear, moose, caribou and dall sheep.
