Explore the provinces of Ontario and Quebec on this 13-day holiday, taking in the highlights of Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City and Ottawa. The circular route travels along Lake Ontario from Toronto to the Thousand Islands resort region, then east to taste the unique flavour of French Canada. The northern journey from Ottawa travels through Algonquin Park and on to Niagara Falls, the "honeymoon capital of the world", before returning to Toronto.

ITINERARY
Day 1 - ARRIVAL IN TORONTO

Arrive Pearson International Airport, Toronto, and transfer independently to your downtown hotel. Pick up your Jonview Roadbook at the front desk as you check in. Remainder of the day is at leisure for shopping at the Eaton Centre or perhaps sampling the fine cuisine and nightlife of Toronto. Overnight in Toronto.

Day 2 - TORONTO

Enjoy the entire day in and around Toronto. Some suggestions: the CN Tower and spectacular SkyDome, Ontario Place, the Hockey Hall of Fame, the Ontario Science Centre or the Royal Ontario Museum. Overnight in Toronto.

Day 3 - TORONTO TO KINGSTON ( 260 KM )

Drive east today, directly to Kingston, and tour Fort Henry or take a Thousand Islands cruise. An alternative route to Kingston passes through the quaint heritage towns of Prince Edward County. Overnight in Kingston.

Day 4 - KINGSTON TO MONTREAL ( 290 KM )

En route to Montreal today, you will be entering the beautiful Thousand Islands region, where forested islands lie amid tranquil lakes. Take to the water and step aboard a cruiser to explore the magnificent scenery of the Thousand Islands. This wonderfully lush island landscape is dotted with luxurious cottages and vast estates. The cruise will take you past Boldt Castle, Zavikon Island and Millionaire's Row. Overnight in Montreal.

Day 5 - MONTREAL

Visit Notre-Dame Basilica, Old Montreal, the Olympic site, the Biodome, Mt. Royal Park, the casino or the underground city. Montreal is renowned for its active and cosmopolitan nightlife. Overnight in Montreal.

Day 6 - MONTREAL TO QUEBEC CITY ( 250 KM )

En route to Quebec City, we suggest a stop at Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Canada's national shrine to the Virgin Mary. Of interest in Trois-Rivières is the Museum of Quebec Folk Arts and Traditions. Overnight in Quebec-City.

Day 7 - QUEBEC CITY

Quebec City is Canada's oldest city and exhibits a strong French heritage. The Fortifications, a historic national park; Place Royale; and the Basilica are some of the suggestions. Outside the city are the dramatic shrine at Ste. Anne-de-Beaupré, Montmorency Falls and the Ile d'Orleans. Overnight in Quebec City.

Day 8 - QUEBEC CITY TO OTTAWA ( 460 KM )

Visit more local attractions, perhaps the Wolfe-Montcalm Monument or Dufferin Terrace. Drive one of several routes to Ottawa, the nation's capital. Overnight in Ottawa.

Day 9 - OTTAWA

Use the entire day to see this historic city of pageantry and the arts. We suggest a visit to the Parliament Buildings, museums or National Gallery, perhaps a tour of the Royal Canadian Mint or a Rideau Canal designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Overnight in Ottawa.

Day 10 - OTTAWA TO HUNTSVILLE ( 350 KM )

Enjoy a scenic drive today to Algonquin Provincial Park and the beautiful Muskoka region. This northern lakeland route offers some of the finest fishing in the country. Overnight near Huntsville.

Day 11 - HUNTSVILLE

The Huntsville area offers tennis, golf, boat cruises, horseback riding and hiking trails. A short drive away is Lion's Lookout Park or Muskoka Pioneer Village. Overnight near Huntsville.

Day 12 - HUNTSVILLE TO NIAGARA FALLS ( 330 KM )

Drive south and bypass Toronto en route to Niagara Falls, the "honeymoon capital of the world". We suggest a stop in Midland at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons. Overnight in Niagara Falls.

Day 13 -NIAGARA FALLS TO TORONTO / END OF TOUR ( 130 KM )

Drive to Toronto through Ontario's fruit growing region. En route, visit historic Niagara-on-the-Lake and stop at the Welland Canal. Return to Pearson International Airport.
