Day 1 - ARRIVAL IN VANCOUVER
Arrive at Vancouver International Airport and transfer independently to your centrally-located hotel. Pick up your information kit at the front desk upon check in. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore this beautiful oceanside city. Overnight in Vancouver.
Day 2 - VANCOUVER / VICTORIA SIGHTSEEING
Enjoy a ferry ride through the scenic Gulf Islands on your way to Vancouver Island and your sightseeing tour of Victoria. En route to Victoria, the tour visits the acclaimed Butchart Gardens where a spectacle of colours and fragrances await in the many theme gardens. Then, travel along the scenic Marine Drive and capture the sensational views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca before exploring the exclusive Uplands and Oak Bay residential areas, the University of Victoria, the Royal Victoria Yacht Club and Beacon Hill Park. During your free time admire the charming Victorian architecture that dominates the townscape, stroll through the Royal British Columbia Museum or sit for high tea at the Fairmont Empress Hotel before returning to Vancouver. Day 3 - WHISTLER SEA TO SKY CLIMB VANCOUVER TO WHISTLER
You will be transferred from your Vancouver hotel to the train station, step aboard the Whistler Sea to Sky Climb train for a three-hour rail journey to Whistler. Marvel at the magnificent scenery as today’s train route winds past the crystal-clear waters of Howe Sound before climbing into the snow-capped Coastal Mountains and through the wilds of Garibaldi Provincial Park. Following an early afternoon arrival in Whistler, transfer independently to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day in this world-famous resort town at leisure. Overnight in Whistler. Day - 4 ROCKY MOUNTAINEER WHISTLER TO QUESNEL
Today you’ll depart Whistler by train and travel north through the rugged interior of British Columbia to Quesnel, a major lumber, pulp, commercial and service centre along the north Cariboo Highway. The town grew out of the Gold Rush of the 1860s and still has many visitor attractions commemorating this prosperous time. Overnight in Quesnel. Breakfast and lunch included.
Day 5 - ROCKY MOUNTAINEER QUESNEL TO JASPER
Reboard the Rocky Mountaineer train today for the continuation of your journey to Jasper. Travel along the northern arm of the Fraser River leading into the Rocky Mountains, and past the peak of Mount Robson before arriving in the all-season resort town of Jasper. After transferring independently to your hotel, the rest of the day is at leisure to explore Jasper’s frontier atmosphere. Overnight in Jasper. Breakfast and lunch included.
Day 6 - JASPER TO BANFF
Today’s coach sightseeing transfer travels along the Icefields Parkway, considered one of the most scenic roads in all of Canada. Spectacular glaciers, cascading waterfalls, turquoise lakes and colourful meadows dot this awe-inspiring mountain wilderness. The coach will stop at the Columbia Icefield where you have the opportunity to venture by Ice Explorer (ride included) onto the massive Athabasca Glacier. A brief photo stop will also be made at picturesque Lake Louise. Late afternoon, you’ll arrive in the attractive resort town of Banff, nestled beneath the towering Cascade Mountain and are free to enjoy the evening at your leisure. Overnight in Banff.
Day - 7 BANFF
This morning, discover the town of Banff and its unspoiled natural surroundings on a sightseeing tour with highlights that include the hoodoos, curiously shaped by centuries of erosion, Surprise Corner, Tunnel Mountain Drive which overlooks the beautiful scenery of the Bow River Valley, and the Cave & Basin where Banff’s history began (admission is included). At the end of the tour you have the choice of being dropped off at the base of Sulphur Mountain for a gondola ride (ride not included) to the top of the mountain where you’ll have a breathtaking 360-degree view of the area. Day 8 - BANFF TO CALGARY
Today you will be transferred by coach to Calgary, leaving behind the enchanting Rockies but taking with you many wonderful memories. Once in Calgary, the remainder of the day is free to explore this cosmopolitan city with its cowboy flare! Overnight in Calgary.
Day 9 - CALGARY
Get to know this Stampede city a little better on a sightseeing tour that will introduce you to both the historic and modern highlights of this friendly city. Attractions include Fort Calgary, Scotsman Hill, admission to Canada Olympic Park and a ride up the ski-jump tower. Overnight in Calgary.
Day 10 - END OF TOUR
Today, transfer independently to Calgary International Airport in time to check in for your flight home.
